How to change the default font for new mindmaps?
Answered
I want to have Avenir Book 18 as my default font within new mindmaps. It currently defaults to SF Pro Text 14.
What I have done so far is to go to FORMAT/SET AS DEFAULT FORMAT but to no avail. it does not default to this new setting.
Any suggestions?
Hi Carson,
Yes, setting default by using the “Set as Default Format” command at each level only works at the map level. To achieve what you are looking for, you can create a template with one -size-font-for-all-levels and use it for creating new maps.
Steps to create a template:
Note: In order to make the Map Template available in the MindManager Template Chooser, Please save it in the Blank Template folder at the path given below:
Macintosh HD/Users/Username/Library/Application Support/Mindjet/Mindjet MindManager/13/{language}/Library/Templates/Blank template.

HI Carson,
this will work for MM Windows. Check it, if it works for Mac too
change the font in the standard map - Ribbon [Design - Edit Theme - Apply and Close]
Save the map in the back stage menu - [Save As - Save as type: MindManager Template (*.xmmat)
Backstage menu - [New - Add Template = right at the top of the program window]
Right click on your new template and [Change Default Template]
Happy Mapping

Thanks Shilpa - this worked fine although you have to remember to set as default the new font for each level. I have it working perfectly now. - Carson
