Is it possible to synchronize resources over linked maps

When sending a Topic to a new map ( linked map ) all resources is copied to the new map.
But afterwards, there is no synchronization of the resources ( or tags ) why is that ?
Is it possible to set this up somewhere in the settings, to ensure that all resources always stay synchronized and part of the roll up feature in the "main" map ?
