MM2020, V studio community edition, github copilot could be run together.
thanks Nick's hint in various post
finally i can setup these up using mm2022 api's guide.
i dont know what it leads to , but i believe there will only be gain, wont loss.
ps: now the github copilot which base on GPT4, may browse my bunch of file directly,
if you want to use claude 3.5 instead, you'll need to use "multicoder" addon for V studio and got your own claude API and pay-as-you-go.
others prefer cursor IDE however cursor IDE is base on VS code which dont have much support for .net things.
my plan is do things mostly in V studio, and sometimes use cursor to open that folder and consult claude 3.5, or use the web claude 3.5 version.
and i encourage others may also setup it up and promote the writing and sharing of addins.
obsidian itself is as good as mindmanager, but obsidian's popularity and simple made plugins appear in great numbers and some are really killer applications.
as always, i suggest the company to do more.
i dont take pictures so i dont care kodak collapsed.
i do use mindmanager i wish mindmanager team is well.
thanks
hi,
as said i have mm2020, v studio community edition and github copilot installed.
however copilot use GPT family (some say an adapted GTP3) which is really not that smart.
cursor ide have both GPT family and Claude 3.5 incorporated, and the integration is more smooth.
however cursor ide being a VS code fork, other claim that the support for .Net programming is much weak.
however copilot sucks sucks and just sucks.
i cant even write a blank new addin.
however, finally i succeed:
i grab the mm22 api page's C# sample,
copy and modifiy for mm2020 use.
then USE CURSOR ide to opne that folder, consult claude 3.5 for the project instead.
v studio simply only works as the IDE and copilot could be omitted.
this, at least, i got my own addin:
when the addin button is clicked, it echo out the topic text:
yes it could be done /w macros,
but with this base, i am looking forward for cursor to help me walk further.

ps: as i have dual mon,
i open v studio on the Lt, and cursor IDE on the Rt.
you simply just close the document and the other IDE could open it.
so that currently, all the programming logics are gave by cursor IDE,
in the V studio, copilot is not even needed, and it is not very useful when compared to cursor IDE.
