Formatting for Excel file to create a multi-level organizational chart

Hi folks,
I'd like to be able to populate an Excel file and then import it to create the structure. We have many organizational levels.
I'm having trouble figuring out how to structure the Excel file. I tried exporting the template for org structure, but I keep getting duplicates created, so I could use some guidance.
Is this even possible in MM?
