We would appreciate you opening a ticket with our support team since we would like to investigate that map to see why you are getting the XML error. Under normal circumstances it is possible to edit the same map across Windows and Mac, this is most likely an issue with that particular map. Please try editing across platforms with a new blank map to see if it works as expected.
