How can I automatically run a macro from a click or rule?

Hi,
I have several macro's that I would like to automatically run, like on the click of a button/image in excel.
Is there a statement in MM's basic to run a macro on opening or from an event?
Can this be transferred to a rule. For instance change a topics task% to run a macro
In MindManager for Windows, you can add new commands to context menus to run macros. Macros are not generally used for events because (a) they are not permanently in scope and able to listen for events, and (b) they are relatively slow. Add-ins can listen for events because they are always in scope. If you contact me direct I can send some more technical suggestions.
