Mapping a document library and filters
Answered
Hi,
Is there anyway to filter the results based on other columns than just the Name, person creating, and date fields? I want to use some more data. Currently when I try to link/Query a SharePoint I see the following as options to filter.
What I would like to do is some of the other metadata as well allow me to have a more graphical representation of the library to make it a bit easer to search/filter through. I.e. Area of Focus or type of document
Thanks,
Siddique
Hello Siddique,
In SharePoint, create a custom view containing the columns with the desired Data. Save the view and give it a name.
Then in MindManager, select the view in the 'Select Lists and views' steps and that will return the data in the SharePoint Query.
Best regards,
-Marian

Thanks Marian. I came across that solution as well after I posted and was just waiting to see if there was a better solution. I was hoping for something a bit more dynamic is being able to grow as I needed it rather than having to create a new view for every item based on the field I wanted to show.
