One more level for theme edditing

Hello,

I have very large mindmaps and it would be very helpful if I could edit theme in 6 levels, not only 5. At the moment in the "Design", if I click "Edit theme" and then "select style group level", I am limited by 5 levels. For the use of big mindmaps I would need at least one more level. In that way I could control its style (colour for example) and make mindmaps more clear.

Thanks for help and best wishes!
Martin

You could work around this with a SmartRule that defines the format of topics at level 6. Many of the formatting options can be applied as SmartRule effects. Once defined, you can save the SmartRule to a common library so that it can be used in several maps.

A couple of years ago I wrote a fairly detailed article on my blog about using topic level as a trigger in SmartRules to apply fill colour and other formatting features as well as tags or icons, etc: https://sociamind.com/2024/01/09/finding-the-right-level-how-to-use-the-new-topic-level-feature-in-mindmanager/

As Nick says the resulting SmartRule can be saved to the library to be used in other maps and/or added to a template. In some respects this is a more flexible approach than setting the format in the template itself as SmartRules can be turned on or off selectively. You can even set up several SmartRules that provide different options for formatting the same level, provided you apply only one of them at a time.
