MM & KI
Answered
Currently, there's no way for MM to automatically generate a mind map from documents (pdf,...) or on a given topic using AI, as far as I know!?!
Is something like this planned, or are there any indirect methods at present?
You could try asking the AI to generate a strict outline, using two space characters for the indent. This can then be copied and pasted into a MindManager map and it will recreate the structure. However it would not automatically convert longer texts into Notes.
Another approach could be to ask the AI to create an OPML file, but I did not have much luck with this.

I'm currently taking an AI course and I stumbled across something interesting – completely off-topic :-)
In the AI program Monica, there's an option to generate a map from a prompt.
In the free version, you can download it as a *.png file, see image.
The paid version also allows you to download it as an xmind file, which can then be loaded into MM.
This works for simple prompts, PDFs, documents, long texts, websites, YouTube videos, and images. Has anyone had any positive or negative experiences with this?
I'll take a closer look at it between Christmas and New Year's.

I'm not sure if you can get AI to save an outline as a Word document - if not you could convert the PDF to Word format. Either way, provided the document uses the Word heading hierarchy, MindManager would be able to convert it into a map.

MONICA free exampel from a *.pdf through a *png.
with a account for money you get this as a xmind file could be import through MM

if I ask chat gpt "how could i create a mindmap for mindmanger with chat gpt?"
I get the following hints, which I not have tested yet..
You can use ChatGPT very effectively to create mind maps that import cleanly into MindManager. The key is to let ChatGPT generate the map in a structure MindManager understands.
Below are three proven methods, from easiest to most powerful.
✅ Method 1: OPML (Best & Recommended)OPML is natively supported by MindManager and ideal for mind maps.
Step 1 – Ask ChatGPT like thisUse a very explicit prompt:
Step 2 – Example Output (OPML)<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <opml version="2.0"> <head> <title>Renewable Energy</title> </head> <body> <outline text="Renewable Energy"> <outline text="Solar Energy"> <outline text="Photovoltaics"/> <outline text="Solar Thermal"/> </outline> <outline text="Wind Energy"> <outline text="Onshore"/> <outline text="Offshore"/> </outline> <outline text="Hydropower"/> </outline> </body> </opml>Step 3 – Import into MindManager✅ Method 2: MindManager Outline Text (Very Fast)MindManager also supports tab-indented outlines.
Ask ChatGPT:
Example:Renewable Energy Solar Energy Photovoltaics Solar Thermal Wind Energy Onshore Offshore HydropowerImport:OR
✅ Method 3: Advanced (Icons, Notes, Priorities)You can instruct ChatGPT to include:
Prompt example:
MindManager will import:💡 Pro Tips (Very Important)✔ Use short node titles (MindManager works best this way)
✔ One concept per node
✔ Avoid full sentences in branches
✔ Ask for multiple levels (3–5 is ideal)
🧠 Example Prompt You Can Reuse

Have you tried the AI addin from Filelinker yet?

Unfortunately not, I don't have the time at the moment, but I'll try it.
Thanks for the tip.
