Impossible style mapping in custom Word Export
Discussion Open
Hello
when i'm exporting map to word, I can't find a way to properly map topics level to style in a word document.
I tried "map style", custom word template with dotx and dot template,
it's all the same :
Everything is in normal style, indented but not linked with the table of contents.
The only thing that I found: if i'm using Document formating/Custome numbering/Indent until/No indenting, then every topics appears in the table of contents (but no style mapped still)
Is there some issues of that kind? Is there specific XML config in office that may be usefull?
Thank you for reading
Hi Pierre,
I can export to Word without any problems, so I'm puzzled as to why this is happening.
When you're working through the Word Export Settings and you get to Additional Content I assume you have ticked Insert Table of Contents. Then when you go to the Document Formatting dialogue box the Table of contents includes field should have all levels selected (or as many as you want), and I suggest selecting Template Numbering (which of course means the Indent Until option is greyed out). Finally, in the Template & Style dialogue box make sure that the Word template you select has the appropriate heading styles and that these are mapped to the correct Topic Level.
The only other thing I can suggest is to check that the version of Mind Manager has the appropriate bit number (either 32 or 64) for your system. If none of this works I suggest you seek technical support.
