It's not possible to enter the year 1999; the first digit is occupied by a "2"

Is this just me?

No, it is MindManager being "different" :-) But if you type 19991 then you can force 1999.

But it doesn't work for all, what must i type for 1936
Where is this documented ?

Hello Jörg. I am sure this is not a deliberate design. It is a no more than a lucky workaround for a bug.

I think 1936 hits a different issue - the 1/1/1970 "epoch" date. See:
