Hallo zusammen,

Beispiel: Laufzeit_Monate=[Aktueller Monat]-[Monat Vertragsbeginn:]

Hello everyone,

There's been very little news on this important topic. For contract/purchase controlling, I need to calculate the number of months from the contract start date to the current month. Okay, you can count this on the calendar, of course. But with more than 20 supply contracts, it can be done automatically.

Example: Term_Months=[Current Month]-[Contract Start Month:]

Hi Lars,

I’m not at my computer at the moment, but the extended properties feature in the MAP add-in from Olympic Ltd should be able to help you with this. One of these extended properties is Task Days Elapsed, which counts the number of days since the project began. Once the Task Days Elapsed topic is created it will remain in sync with the topic’s task information and timing.

Please note that the Task Days Elapsed property counts all days since the commencement of the project and not just working days, but this may be more suitable for your purposes. You will also have to divide the Task Days Elapsed figure by the average month length (say, 30.4) to get the number of months - this might result in some anomalies but the resulting monthly count is probably adequate in most cases.

but it would be good and necessary for the MindManager to calculate with a date.

In my opinion, no additional add-ins should be necessary for this. Calculation with the Date property.

I agree. However, proper date arithmetic has been requested many times over the years but to no avail and the extended properties facility provided in the MAP add-in is the next best thing. While you would probably not consider buying it for this alone, MAP has a wide range of other features which I believe justifies its purchase price.
