Exporting & Importing between MS Word and Mindmanage

I have MS 365 which includes all normal apps such as Word , Powerpoint , Excel etc ... and Mindmanger 2024

I wanted to import and export content from word to mm24 and from mm24 to word but can no longer see the export icons in MM or Word.

I know Microsoft are reworking it's productivity suites has this impacted MM ability to integrate with the MS 365 application suite?

Thanks Jorg useful to see from the Mind manager view point I seem to recall at one point in an earlier incarnation of Mindmanager that I could send a branch from MM to a location in the word document and vice versa select a paragraph in Word and send to MM but it now seems to be a whole document type approach to a new map / document now

The functionality you are referring to was retired when we rebuilt the Word Import/Export and now longer requires Word to be installed on the system.

Yes, the ability to to do this was sadly lost when the Word import/export facility was rewritten. While the new MindManager to Word export facility provides a lot of control and works quite similarly to the Excel export feature, there is no Word equivalent to the control provided by the Excel data mapper for Excel importing. And you have to import a whole Word document - there is no longer any ability to send a section of a Word document to MM, or vice versa.

There is a workaround of sorts. If you want to export just a section of a map you can save it to a new map and export that to Word, and of course you can do the same with part of a Word document that you want to import, though this can be a bit messy.

I think that in MM 21 before there was a button in WORD, but I didn't realy use this function.
