hi,

it is claimed that CHINA's deepseek could outperform or on par with OpenAI's o1, but using only 1/20 of the cost.

their best models are deepseek V3 for Claude 3.5 sonnet level,

and deepseek R1 for OpenAI o1 level.

btw, deepseek is 1/20 price of OpenAI's (but on par ability) so even poor people from 3rd world like me could afford that.

it makes the use of AI more comfortable.

DeepSeek is a new Free AI model from China.
AI experts and influencers seem to be positive about it.
This may be a huge mistake.

You can use it for free and it is a bit better than chatgpt. According to benchmarks at least.

With the pro-version, you can use an API and it is much cheaper than Claude, Gemini or Chatgpt.
Don't let the price fool you.
Whoever reads the conditions will find that the builders can use all your data to train the model. No opt-out, all data.

Now the Trojan Horse also appears to be in your local version.
Smart experts who use it to have code written, found out that it makes mistakes.

Sadly those backdoors or mistakes are also in the code you created using the model.
Think about that.

In the meantime, AI influencers continue to promote the model without hesitation.

in filelinker's website i already saw them having deep seek incorporated.

it's in the jan7 news.

however it's nite time here i dont have time to check which updated version/free version will support deepseek.

adding the deepseek just added a logo/hyperlink to deepseek's website so you can use the web version of deepseek?

1. deepseek is itself a financial company, that they also use AI and thus do research on it.

they are not a IT security company, it's true that they are prone to attacks like DDos etc.

2. you must know what is a BUG, what is a BACKDOOR.

those intentionally added, is backdoor;

dont hard to fix, is BUG.

america closed source program WINDOWS is the single biggest buggest program i ever used but need to use daily

3. open source is, if you see intentional backdoors, you can grab the guy out and punch it

close source is, you could only suspect and blame.

while we are talking, grok 3 is out.

Elon claims to open source older versions when new versions mature. so grok 2 will be foss later.

and claude 4 is rumored to come recently.

back to the file linker, i only recently found that it is not using APIs to the LLMs,

it is more like a notepad that help you format / transform the text,

from text to markdown or markdown to text, something alike.

and if you use it, it now support grok3 natively too.

but in my previous post, that it will REMOVE lines that contain numbers in the beginning and the authors claims it's a FEATURE,

so now i simply paste the text from LLMS and use a macro to remove those markdown syntax ( *, #) and may need to tidy up branch by branch manually - sigh

dilemma.
