Parity for Mac - Many Years Later
Discussion Open
When Corel purchased MindManager, I placed a question in this forum, asking if there were plans to bring the Mac version up to parity with the Windows version. I was told that Corel would do so. The company had years of experience offering CorelDRAW and similar products across both platforms. BUT - the list of features (and add-ons) available for Windows only continues to grow. One product is a true business productivity tool - the other more of a graphics tool. Is it time for a company who appreciates Mac users to step into this space or will Corel take MindManager Mac seriously?
If it only was easy to achieve full parity.
MindManager Developers ( now part of Alludo) can only develop functionality that the OS allows.
Since all the years I work with MIndManager, there is always a bit difference between the 2 platforms.
Most important functionality is on par.
Several are not yet, and I am confident they will grow.
Some will never be able on Mac, simply because the platform has different demands for software developers.
MindManager developers have tried many options to get the platforms close in functionality.
The work done on the browser version is one example.
On the other hand Mac users have benefits that Windows users will never have. Maybe it is an option to use Parallels to get the best of both worlds. One solution could be to create a bundled price for both.
