HTML5 export doesn't ever load in Confluence

I have an HTML5 file (exported map from MM21) which opens fine if I just open it directly from a file browser. My web browser starts and the viewer loads and it all works. Fine.
I have uploaded the same file to a Confluence page but when I try to load it here I just get the egg timer and the viewer never actually loads.
It's a similar issue to what others have posted regarding Sharepoint.
Asked the other way around: How can I get an HTML5 export to load inside a Confluence page?

One suggestion would be to publish your map and either add the link to it in Confluence or use the Embed code.
