Notes: Highlighting text should not turn text white against the white background

Hi - I'm testing out the trial version of MindManager on the Mac. This is a huge usability problem: when I highlight text in the Notes panel (or select text) - the text turns white behind a white background. I cannot see what I'm highlighting.
I may want to highlight to change the font color or something. Attached is a screen recording showing what I mean.
