If you are talking about sorting tags within a marker group a search through the forum topics indicates this question has been raised a few times. This is an expanded version of one or two of my previous answers:
Option 1: Rename the tags temporarily by adding an alphabetical prefix in the order you want. You can then sort them alphabetically and then change the marker names back to the original.
For example, if your markers are in the order
Red
Blue
Yellow
And you want them in the order
Yellow
Red
Blue
Then prefix them as follows:
B Red
C Blue
A Yellow
Then sort, and delete the letter prefixes.
Option 2: Use dragging between groups. Create a new group with a different name and drag the tags to it. If there are only one or two tags out of order and they just higher in the order than they should be you could just click on and drag the problem tags to the new group, and then drag them back to the original. They will always be added to the bottom of the list.
If you want to reorder the whole list, create a new group and then click on and drag each tag to it in the order you want them to appear. Tags will be added to the new group in the order that you add them. You can then delete the original group and (if you wish to do so) give the new group the same name as the original. Alternatively, you could also drag the tags to the original group in the same order then delete the new group after the last tag has been moved back.

Thanks Alex, I was able to reorder tags and tag group within marker group by creating a new group tag group and moving tags into the new group.

Another method is to open the Tag View (View tab > Tag View), then click and drag the column headers into the correct order.
