Is there a way to line up task or blocks in the same row when using gant char view?

It would be great if we could line up several blocks in the same gant chart line, now every sequential task ocupies space both down and right,
The data in the grid on the left of the Gantt Chart shows the task detail for that row. If there were multiple tasks per line, the grid would not be usable. If you are using a Work Breakdown Structure with task roll-up or manually added summaries, you can fold rows to make the chart more readable.
