Paste Link only works for the first element of a multiple selection
Discussion Closed
I do argument mapping with MindManager.
One sentence will generally be split into multiple assertions. For each, I need a link to the original complete sentence. Internal links are perfect. My problem is that even if I select six topics and do a Paste Link, only the first one will get it. And I did not find any keyboard shortcut for Paste Link.
For hundreds of links, it's tedious. Did I miss something?
BTW, this new forum is nice, full of good questions and great answers.

Hello Pierre,
Thanks for posting and for your comments on our new community site.
Regarding your question, you are not missing anything. Pasting a link will only add it to the first selected topic. One option that is less tedious is to paste the link to one topic and then you can easily drag the link to the other topics in your map. I hope that helps.
Best,
-Marian

Marian,
Thanks. Dragging will be a nice workaround.

I just found a better solution for my needs. Thanks to tutorials and serendipity. I just followed the tutorial about "Mastering MindManager". It's all about shortcuts. One of them does solve my problem perfectly. If I drag multiple subtopics in the center of the text of a topic (you then see an icon with 3 small parallel lines), I can choose to create reciprocal links. It does them all at once. Very nice.
