How to generate/keep Hyperlinks to Branches (Import from Word DOCX)

How do I prepare a Word file (DOCX) if I want to keep a hyperlink to a branch whithin a note (branch note) when importing this DOCX into MindManager?

First, I exported such a prepared MindMap to Word, but the Word file shows a cryptic link address which also does not work in Word. So I tried several things (user generated bookmarks, system bookmarks)... but they all are recognized by MindManager as external internet addresses.

All notes are correctly recognized, but not the branch links within my notes.


Therefore I will need some advice for accomplishing this task... any assistance will be appreciated!

Hi Tobias,

MM creates a specific format template in Word = "MM Hyperlink" see my screenshot and test my .docx for an import.

I appreciate your reply - however my question concerns those hyperlinks which are within text notes.

To illustrate my topic I did some screenshots - furthermore I attached the sample Mindmap to this comment.

The picture above shows the obvious action: I hover a link within a text note and the targeted branch shows up in the mouse-over information.


The hyperlink properties are illustrated in the screenshot below:

Here you can see that the targeted branch is fine.

However, as soon as I re-import the (exported) DOCX-file to MindManager, this hyperlink becomes wrong:

Instead of pointing to the (internal) branch, a cryptic external target shows up...

...and this is my question: How do I prepare them in my DOCX file?

Any assistance is appreciated.

Hallo Tobias,

danke für deine Screenshots. Gleich die schlechte Nachricht - Links in Notizen werden nicht korrekt importiert.

Werde das als Bug an die Entwickler reporten.

Auch Links zu Zweigen in der Map (Anker) machen Fehler.

Ich würde Links zu anderen Zweigen nicht in die Notizen packen, sondern als echten Link am Zweig anbringen.

Hallo Andreas,

vielen Dank für Deine Einordnung meines Problems.

Aufgrund der Vielzahl an Zweigverweisen innerhalb der Textanmerkungen würde die MindMap leider zu unübersichtlich. Deshalb fände ich es sehr gut, aus den Textanmerkungen heraus auf die Zweige zu "springen" -- und aufgrund der Vielzahl ist es auch nicht praktikabel, die Hyperlinks manuell nachzupflegen.

Dann hoffe ich mal, dass dieser Bug bald als solcher eingestuft... und auch gelöst wird.

Poste gerne beizeiten den Link auf den Bug-Report hier, damit ich das auch nachverfolgen kann. Gerne arbeite ich auch mit Anwendertests zu.
