I think this is a MindManager 20 bug. I can reproduce it on MM20 but not 21 or above. To copy the relationship between two topics in MM20, you need to select both topics and the relationship (with Ctrl+click). In later versions of MindManager, selecting just the topics is enough to also copy a relationship or dependency between them.
Plain relationships can be interpreted as finish-to-start dependencies by the Gantt feature if this option is enabled in the Gantt Pro options.

Interesting question.
What have you tried yourself and what results

with dependencies
copy 1 and change to 2...result

I see your Example. You have dependencies a to b and a to c.
It also seems that you have used relationship lines instead of dependencies, (but I may be wrong)
That could be the reason.
I recreated it, BUT I set dependencies in the TaskPane a to b to c
I can copy and paste, and the info shows correct. So it looks like MindManager checks if dependencies are correct

you are right, that works in MM 2020.

Good to know. Thanks Nick.
Maybe @Joerg in future mention your version number. That could save time to solve your issue.
