Word can deactivate the MindManager Add-In.

Check the COM-Add-Ins in the options in Word.

Hello Namesake,

all Options still checked. Nothing there!

Start a MindManager repair in the Windows control panel.

This will reinstall all add-ins

Hi Andreas,

first at all. There is no MindManager Add-In in Word since MM22. There is an Word-Export in MM22.

Mindjet.MmWord.AddIn.22 = standalone Word Export in MM22 - no Word installation needed anymore

Mindjet.Mm22ExcelLinker.AddIn.22 = Excel Data Mapper in MM22 - can be found in the task panel on the side

Yes, just to clarify, Word importing is now handled entirely from within MindManager, and there is no Send to MindManager add-in in Word. This means that while you can still import a whole Word document to a new map, it is no longer possible to send sections of a document directly from within Word.

Personally I think this is a huge loss, but sadly it doesn't seem that anything can be done about it. There are some workarounds, none of which are entirely satisfactory. The simplest is to copy the sections of a Word document to a new Word document and export that to MindManager.

If you previously had an older (pre MM 21) version of MindManager installed you may be able to reactivate the Send to MindManager Word plug-in which in turn may work with MM 22, depending on the age of the version of MM. If you can get this to work you will probably have to reactivate the plug-in every time you start Word, as it doesn't seem to persist when you close down Word.
