Voting Open

Customizable map topics would be very helpful, especially when mapping out a process that captures varying sub-itmes in it. In the attached file, the cells would be editable.

If you are using MindManager for Windows, the Spreadsheet feature in the Advanced tab would be close to what you need. The only drawback is that there is no "date" cell type so you would need to use text cells to hold dates.

Thanks for the follow up. This a better suggestion. Is there any way to add formatting, like merging cells, or changing the color, etc?

The built-in spreadsheet function is fairly basic. You can change the font colour, the font, the cell fill colour, the text justification, and add cell borders. I don't think that cells can be merged.

Hi Nick,

You're right. I seem to remember eons ago that you could paste merged cells from an Excel spreadsheet into a MindManager spreadsheet and they would remain merged, but that no longer seems to be the case (if indeed it ever was). You can still paste the cells but they will be unmerged. Copying dates from Excel doesn't work either, unless the cell they are pasted into in the MindManager table has previously been formatted as text.

One thing I forgot to add was that it appears that a topic can’t have a spreadsheet and topic properties as well.
