Would like to see how MM can work with this Obsn plugin "markmind".
Hi all,
I used this OBSN plugin before at v1, now it's up to v3.
In its "rich mode", I noticed a few things when using a node:
- Markdown itself supports hyperlinks.
- It also supports "topic text", just like MindManager.
These two features are the most important to me, honestly. Besides that, it also supports right-side diagrams, callouts, boundaries, and summaries (the summary feature is unique—not found in MM, but I’ll ignore it as MM doesn’t support it anyway).
By the way, everyone knows MM has NOT EVEN released a truly editable mobile app for over 15 years.
If this plugin is a possible solution, it really gives me hope.
Anyone else tried this, or have similar experience?
i dont want to be locked up in .mmap again,
i am thinking how i could control back MY DATA.
thank you.

btw, it's by chinese, so if you are geo political sensitive, you got fewer solutions.
and, both obsidian and this plugin markmind are both chinese and close source, not truely foss.
loqseq is foss but afaik, most ppl stick to obsidian.
I am not yelling out at random, i want to control back my data. staying in .mmap is not a good go.
there are alternatives to MM, the best one is Xyz mind, but unlike most programs, it's NOT 1 file = 1 map structure, and they cant hyperlink from node 1 in file A to node 2 in file B.
Freemind could do so, but it's java, and NO MOBILE/android versions. likely only a reader that i checked long time ago.
so this obsidian plugin shed a light on my mind; i just wish to have a way to smoothly switch between this plugin and mindmanager.
it could now partly be done, that this plugin could "copy as markdown" (indeep is indented text) that could be pasted directly into mindmanager, etc.
ps: this should be posted in idea. i dont know why it always was wrong.
