Good morning everyone,

I found on the net this interesting link (Get planning with this work breakdown structure template | MindManager Blog) to a template and video explaining its use, but I can't find it.

Can anyone help me find these resources?

Thanks

Luca P.

There is an alternative webinar here:

https://www.mindmanager.com/en/resources/webinars/creating-work-breakdown-structure-mindmanager/

This is for MindManager 18, but the principles of WBS have not changed. If the webinar is useful, I can share copies of any of the maps used.

Thanks Nick,

I will definitely watch it with interest and if you can share the material I would appreciate it.

Hello Luca

I have published the presentation map at

https://share.mindmanager.com/#publish/ZcnX0Il-V_rqSkhkNzx4WR3JQ4hTZIA_AuRrVAOd

All the examples are attachments in this map.

There is some discussion in the webinar about the non-suitability of MindManager's topic numbering for coding WBS trees. I am currently working on an App for assigning codes to WBS trees which will be in beta test soon.

Hello Nick,

Thank you very much for sharing.

However, I did not understand where the files attached to the presentation are, I have been using MM not long ago and I am getting lost :-)

Forgive me but in the latest version we are using the automatic numbering, with

different encodings (multilevel numbers and letters) is there. Maybe you mean something else?

Hello Luca

If you download a copy of the map from the publishing link and open it with MindManager desktop, you can find the attachments in the "Map Index" task pane, "Elements" tab.

A potential issue with the automatic numbering is that the numbers changes if the map is filtered, or if subtopics are deleted, inserted or re-ordered. This can cause confusion if the WBS codes are used to refer to items in the WBS tree. For example, task 1.3.12 might change to 1.3.11 or 1.3.13 without being noticed. A system that assigns fixed codes that do not change is more suitable for managing projects in a WBS.
