Opening older mmp files

I have just purchased mind manger foe browsers and have a lot of old mmp file I would like to be able to use i looked for a way to convert these.
I found a document here https://kb.mindmanager.com/125326
and a link http://www1.mindjet.de/downloads/MM14/MindManager_14.3.192_EN.exe
plus instructions.
When i try to run the file it fails with the message the installation of microsoft visual C+ + 2005 SP1 redistibute package2 has failed setup will now exit.
Can you help me access my files please.

Download mm vs 14 for windows from the mindmanager website. The 30 day trial should be enough to convert all your extremely old maps into .mmap files
